คำแถลง จากสายการบิน คาเธ่ย์ แปซิฟิค ( 3 ธันวาคม 2555 เวลา 18:50น. )
สายการบิน คาเธ่ย์ แปซิฟิค ขอแถลงความคืบหน้าเกี่ยวกับการโพสต์ข้อความที่มีความละเอียดอ่อนในโซ^^ลมีเดียที่มีการกล่าวถึงการโพสต์ข้อความจากหนึ่งในพนักงานต้อนรับของคาเธ่ย์ แปซิฟิค ซึ่งเกี่ยวข้องกับผู้โดยสารที่เดินทางออกจากประเทศไทยเมื่อเร็วนี้ๆ
"คาเธ่ย์ แปซิฟิค ได้ตรวจสอบเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นอย่างละเอียด โดยขอยืนยันว่าเหตุการณ์นี้เกี่ยวข้องกับหนึ่งในพนักงานต้อนรับบนเครื่องบินของเราซึ่งได้โพสต์ข้อมูลของผู้โดยสารท่านหนึ่งบนโซ^^ลมีเดีย โดยเป็นเหตุการณ์ที่พนักงานท่านนั้นกระทำไปโดยมิได้รับความยินยอม ทั้งนี้คาเธ่ย์ แปซิฟิคขอเรียนให้ทราบว่าพนักงานต้อนรับบนเครื่องบินท่านนั้นไม่ได้อยู่ในฐานะของพนักงานของสายการบินคาเธ่ย์ แปซิฟิค อีกต่อไป"
"คาเธ่ย์ แปซิฟิค ขอแสดงความเสียใจต่อเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น ทางสายการบินขอยืนยันต่อผู้โดยสารทุกท่านว่าข้อมูลส่วนบุคคลของผู้โดยสารและการถือปฏิบัติตามกฎข้อบังคับเกี่ยวกับข้อมูลส่วนบุคคลนั้นเป็นสิ่งที่สายการบินให้ความสำคัญเป็นอย่างยิ่ง พนักงานของเราจะปฏิบัติตามนโยบายข้างต้นอย่างเคร่งครัดพร้อมทั้งการให้บริการลูกค้าด้วยมาตรฐานสูงสุด การกระทำที่นอกเหนือไปจากนโยบายนี้จะไม่เป็นที่ยอมรับ โดยในวันนี้ คาเธ่ย์ แปซิฟิค ได้เน้นย้ำนโยบายข้อนี้กับพนักงานในทุกภาคส่วนของเราอีกครั้งหนึ่ง"
ทั้งนี้คาเธ่ย์ แปซิฟิค ยังคงพยายามติดต่อผู้โดยสารอย่างต่อเนื่องเพื่อแสดงความเสียใจต่อเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น
คาเธ่ย์ แปซิฟิค รู้สึกเป็นเกียรติอย่างยิ่งที่ได้ให้บริการเที่ยวบินสู่ประเทศไทยและสายการบินยังคงมุ่งมั่นในการให้บริการผู้โดยสารของเรา

Cathay Pacific is providing a further update regarding the social media posts containing information allegedly made by a single member of its cabin crew concerning a passenger on a recent flight from Thailand:
We have investigated the matter thoroughly. We can confirm that the incident involved a member of our cabin crew who has privately posted certain information on a social media site about one of our passengers and that it is an unauthorised incident. We can also confirm that the cabin crew concerned is no longer an employee of the company."
Cathay Pacific regrets this unfortunate incident and wishes to assure all of our customers that their privacy and strict ad^^nce to all privacy regulations is extremely important to us. All staff are expected to strictly ad^^ to our privacy policies as well as the highest standards of customer service. Non-compliance is unacceptable. We have highlighted this message to staff again today."
The company is continuing in its attempts to reach the passenger in hopes of personally expressing its apology to her."
The airline is very honoured to serve Thailand and looks forward to demonstrating to its many customers across the country that this was an isolated incident.
